Your first consultation with a lawyer, either in person or by Zoom, MS Teams or phone, is free. At that consultation, the lawyer will complete a written quote, a copy of which is yours to keep, that sets out the retainer (deposit against the fees), the expected total fee and possible disbursements and the taxes.
If you decide to retain Helps Law, we then provide a retainer letter which sets out the full amount of fees required and services to be performed. Except in unusual circumstances, we honour this quote through trial and, if necessary, sentencing.
